Our Mission

The mission of Horizons Delmarva is to provide low-income public school students in Wicomico County, with an intensive academic Summer Learning Program to transform the lives of students caught in the achievement gap. Working in partnership with teachers and families, Horizons guides and supports students from first through grade six via the Summer Enrichment Program.  It is the goal of Horizons to develop the whole child by emphasizing academic, cultural, and recreational activities that promote problem-solving skills, foster awareness of community responsibility, instill respect for oneself and others, and encourage a lifelong love of learning. The Horizons program gives students the tools and support that will assist them in becoming successful, confident students.
